The system is a handheld video microscope with LED illumination. It is available in 5x magnification. For improved assessment of red blood cell velocity, stroboscopic illumination was introduced. The included Battery Unit will last for a minumum of 12 hours of continuous use. Ths allows measurements all day without needing to charge the battery.

The System has a standard video-output (PAL or NTSC), which allows you to record the measurement on any recording device which has a standard video-input. Using a capture device, you can convert the image into a digital signal which can be recorded directly to a computer harddrive.

 

The MicroScan uses a sterile disposable, the MicroScan Lens, to protect the patient and device. These can be ordered separately from MicroVision Medical.
